RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be a part of providing the overall Emerson Energy Systems experience through web technology.
Design, architect and maintain applications to support the Emerson Energy Systems web and eBusiness sites.
Create high quality web and eBusiness sites, and web-based tools in support of Emerson Energy Systems worldwide sales growth, productivity improvements (internally and externally), and enhancements to customer service.
Utilizing a thorough knowledge of programming skills and techniques, this person shall develop applications written in languages such as VB.Net, ASP.Net, ASP (Active Server Pages), Visual Basic, ActiveX, DHTML, JavaScript, XML and VRML (Virtual Reality Model Language) designed to enhance user appeal and utility, as well as the Web site’s overall functionality.
Uses Microsoft Visual Studio.Net to create Web front-end user interfaces to new or existing databases of HTML, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or others to make business applications Web accessible.
Use departmental design, architect, and development standards, and sound coding techniques to develop, test, implement and support web applications.
Works with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Human Resources and other key departments within Emerson Energy Systems to gather and define requirements documentation.
Provides customer support for the Web and eBusiness tools as required.
Makes every effort to complete assigned projects on time as assigned by Project Leader and eBusiness Manager.
Prioritizes workload based on business objectives and direction from Project Leader and eBusiness Project Manager.
Tests all code before releasing to the QA server to ensure the project meets all specified criteria in the specification and functions without error
Brings conflicting issues or concerns to the Project Leader and eBusiness Manager immediately when discovered.
Maintains assigned areas within the eBusiness either by projects assigned or by permanently assigned areas.

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must have an Associates or BS Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent technical experience within web development. He/she must have two or more years of web design and programming in related languages.
Should possess good technical programming skills and techniques. Has a thorough understanding of the internet and database architecture. Also has a good understanding of the server environment and other associated internet hardware.
Highly experienced with the following: Microsoft ASP and ASP.Net; Windows 2K, XP and 2K3 Server; Internet Information Server (IIS5 and 6); Microsoft Visual Studio.Net; Web Standards compliant HTML development using style sheets (CSS); Microsoft SQL Server 2005, T-SQL, Query Analyzer, and SQL Profiler; Event and Web log analysis
Driven to succeed in a hectic development environment where there are multiple priorities.
Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access; and Outlook.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly.
Can organize multiple tasks and possesses strong organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
Close attention to detail, follow-up, with an extreme sense of urgency and perseverance.
Strong knowledge of InfoWeb, EnergyNet.Com and the Emerson Energy Systems’ public website.
Knowledgeable of Emerson Energy Systems manufacturing processes.
Ability to resolve conflicts.
Emerson Energy Systems product knowledge is helpful but not essential.
Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment, and provide timely and accurate follow up to inquires.
Ability to perform most duties without a lot of supervision.
Strong team effort mentality.
Developing leadership skills, in the technical area or supervision area or both.
