Senior Software Quality Analyst

Responsibilities:

* The Software Quality Analyst will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data from a variety of sources to determine quality and reliability trends for control systems software and hardware for two divisions of Emerson Process Management - Process Systems and Solutions (PSS) and Power and Water Solutions (PWS). The Analyst will also interpret these trends and other data to develop and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions. The Analyst will be responsible for providing standard monthly and demand reports on field reliability of PSS and PWS products, and will be expected to develop and implement new analytical metrics and techniques that will advance the state of the business, including tools, techniques and procedures that will improve the efficiency of the reporting process. Assignments may also include design and improvement of databases and data collection techniques for more accurate analysis, as well as leadership for related process improvement activity. Requirements:

* Proficient in MS Office applications with particular focus on Excel and PowerPoint; Experience in Excel VBA Programming is a plus.
* Practical experience in data mining, both textual and field. Background in working with, manipulating, organizing and retrieving data from various databases.
* Transactional SQL experience and basic understanding of database design
* Experience in analytical and problem solving disciplines typically associated with quality engineering and process improvement.
