Responsibilities:
* The successful candidate will be part of the Helpdesk T2 team and will be responsible for the tasks listed below:
* Support the monitoring of QoS infrastructure and services using Intelligent Center and Network Monitoring tools in order to pro-actively troubleshoot system anomalies
* Participate in the planning and implementation of Network Assessment in preparation for PRISM waves roll-out
* Participate in the ongoing administration of the QoS service for WAN network
* Participate in the monitoring and analyzes of WAN traffic from physical, application level and quality of service perspectives
* Answer user queries and issues that have been escalated from T1 Helpdesk Agents, track IT helpdesk tickets and coordinate with the QoS Specialists (Tier 3) and Network and Systems Supervisor Manila as necessary to satisfy user requests within existing IOM ITC standards and procedures
* Prepare and update system administration document and network diagrams
* Manage up-to-date hardware and software inventory
* Participate in the planning and implementation of IT disaster recovery and business continuity mechanisms
* Perform other duties as may be required
Requirements:
* At least three years of relevant working experience in IT setup and administration, installing, configuring and supporting LAN hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network switches, printers, Cisco and other devices.
* Knowledge of VPN technologies with knowledge and experience with Cisco firewalls and VPN-based WAN networks
* Knowledge and experience with encryption and authentication technologies and services – PKI, CA, SSL, ESP, AH.
* Knowledge and experience with network technologies (Ethernet) and devices, software and protocols (TCP/IP) internetworking and related services (DNS, WINS, DHCP, etc.), network operating systems (Windows) and network management systems
* Knowledge of Cisco Works VPN/Security Management Solution
* Knowledge of and experience with PacketShaper is an advantage.
* Diploma in Computer Science Engineering or other related field
* CCNA or CCSP certification.
* Knowledge of Cisco PIX, Cisco Router and Cisco Switch systems.
* Other security and computer industry certifications will be an advantage
* Excellent knowledge of the English language; French or Spanish will be an asset.
* Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues with varied cultures and professional backgrounds is also desired.
* Languages: Thorough knowledge of English; working knowledge of French an advantage.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints.
