Responsibilities:

* The Service expert centre developer has total ownership for the development, installation, configuration, trouble-shooting, and maintenance of software products for a number of client programs, in accordance with European Guidelines to ensure the smooth operation of the production environment. In this role, he/she is responsible for delivering applications that meet client requirements, objectives and Service Level Agreements. In fulfilling this function, he/she provides a high-quality professional service within the pre-defined procedures, quality and standards and ensures that client and operational satisfaction is achieved.

* Is accountable for the design, development, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of software applications for a number of assigned client programs, according to the required standards and within the defined timeframe
* Has ultimate application solutions for a defined number of developed applications in terms of technological functioning of software applications, following assigned duties
* Serves as an escalation point for the support team on assigned application solutions and ensures that issues escalated are resolved in due time
* Ensures that all software applications are fully tested (User Acceptance Test) and documented in order to minimize business risk
* Proactively identifies technological opportunities that will improve organizational profitability.
* Perform the change request.
* Provides technical assistance for the user (after escalation), in order that he/she is able to fulfil his/her job adequately. Provides technical assistance and training to the ICT staff.
* Executes implementation of assigned projects within the assigned and approved timeframe.
* Reports regular work/project status to the Development Manager.
* Assists the Project Manager in assessing the technical solution and requirements.
* Documents software applications for future reference

Requirements:

* Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or any IT-related field.

* Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

* Must have good working knowledge on the following aspects:

* Knowledge of a structured language, e.g. Pascal, C, Visual Basic
* Knowledge of Database access, preferably Oracle or SQL
* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio)
* Project Management methodology
* Financial drivers

* Knowledge of the following applications depending on development requirements :

* Database Design
* Database Development (Oracle PLSQL)
* Office applications
* Access & Visual Basic for Applications
* Information Builders (Reporting)
* HTML/ASP/.net
* XML
* General knowledge about call centers is an asset
