Responsibilities:
* Providing telephony expertise in the planning and deployment of services to support the diverse business functions in Manila.
* Operational management of the telephony systems in the multiple Emerson Manila facilities.
* Developing telephony solutions to meet the business requirements of Emerson and other groups based in Manila in alignment with the Unified Communications (UC) architecture.
* Providing telephony statistics, usage and other reporting as required to Emerson management.
* Supporting the integration of telephony into the LAN environment.
* Ensuring that telephony configurations deployed in the Manila site are compliant with the Emerson UC architectural guidelines (patterns) and that any deviation is documented, and necessary waivers are approved by UC management.
* Optimizing the telephony environment in Manila for Emerson to control costs and improve services.
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
* Expert knowledge of telephony including IP enabled PBX.
* Experience with the planning, configuration, and deployment of PBX equipment (preferably Nortel).
* Experience with call center applications, IVR, and ACD.
* 5-10 years experience in the telephony field.
* Good written and verbal communication skills at various levels of a large company, ability to convey and apply telephony principles to business requirements.
