Responsibilities:
* Responsible in ensuring smooth day to day running of shipping and trucking group in meeting company’s objective of prompt delivery to various customers both domestic and export on a most economical way. Also supervise the discharging of vessel for shipments and other major raw materials bound to the plant.
* Monitors arrival of incoming shipments particularly major raw materials
* Reviews and checks billings of brokers, forwarders, shipping lines, truckers and other logistics providers based on the prescribed and agreed rate.
* Coordinates with plant personnel and sales people both local and export in the shipment of finished goods bound to various destinations in the Philippines and overseas.
* Ensures that Plant have adequate transportation needs both in land, air and sea including container vans to ensure the continuous movements of both incoming raw materials and finished good deliveries.
* Monitors and supervises export forwarding activities in coordination with production personnel, warehouse and other service providers.
* Monitors the prompt submission of all export documents (CI, CIL, CO, Boatnotes, ED) by Customs Broker to ensure on time liquidation with Bureau of Customs.
* Ensures that all incoming shipment will be discharged as scheduled complete and free from damage and all handling equipments (shore crane, forklift, etc.) are available.
* Ensures that all off-shore deliveries of finished goods will arrive complete, free from damage and on time in the most economical and cost effective way.
* Ensures that logistics providers like truckers, forwarders and brokers have been accredited based on the policies and procedures set by the Company.
* Ensures that all cargo handling related claims including loss both import and local deliveries are filed on time against bailees, properly documented and in accordance to the policies and procedures.
* Makes recommendations regarding charter vessel for domestic shipments, payment to suppliers, port of discharge for the shipment and its nominated vessel.
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering (Industrial) or equivalent, BS Customs Administration or other Business related courses
* At least 10 years work experience in domestic distribution/deliveries, trucking and shipping; import/export of raw materials and finished goods.
* Preferably with experience in heavy steel products; using flat beds.
* Knowledgeable in local and international shipping lines and forwarders.
* Well-versed in Customs regulations.
* This is a Makati-based position but will require frequent trips to Balayan, Batangas plant.
* Applicants should be Filipino citizens or hold relevant residence status.
